Boring Tree Rules Empty Boring Tree Rules

Post by Hunnytree Mon Feb 03, 2014 11:09 pm

Seeing as this forum has been around for a couple months with no rules or anything like that, here it is! These are in no way permanent and can be as fluid as necessary. There are only, like, 3 people other than me at this point, so I have no worries, but hey! Here ya go!

TREE CULT RULES AND RESTRICTIONS

This forum is rated PG for Pretty Great, but that also means, no really-really explicit content without warning! This means keeping swearing to a minimum, and keeping graphic content behind a warning label. Hard, yes, but necessary.

This forum should be safe to read without fear of harassment, so there is to be none of that! We are here for world domination, not bullying.

NO SPAM. ESPECIALLY EMOTICON SPAM. It is annoying, and just clogs up the forums. Don't do it. Only possible exception would be sometimes in Random Redwood, but not if it clogs a topic.

POST TOPICS IN THE RELEVANT FORUM. It makes for easier browsing, searching and organizing. Any not conforming to this will be locked or moved.

TRY to avoid double-posting in general. If you have something else to say, edit your last post. Exceptions to this are allowed in certain circumstances, but generally this will be enforced.

NO POST SPAMMING. This includes completely unnecessary posts that add nothing, one or two word posts, or anything like that that contributes zilch. None of those. Along with this, topics dedicated to post-spamming are NOT, NOT, NOT ALLOWED, and will be locked and deleted.

NO CHATSPEAK. It is annoying, hard to read and spammy. Occasional use is fine, but generally try to use proper grammar when posting.

NO UNNECESSARY TOPICS. NONE. If a similar topic exists elsewhere, add on to that one rather than starting a new one. This keeps the forums nice and orderly. On a similar note...

PLEASE try and keep topics on... well, topic. Conversely to the previous rule, if you have a new topic to bring up, make a new topic rather than using an unrelated old one. This, again, makes for easy searching and browsing, as well as clearing up confusion.

---

Anddd... that seems to be all for now! As new problems are found, expect this to be added on to. Please follow these, and your Boring Tree experience will hopefully be a blast!

Please, if you encounter anything that needs changing in this list, post below!

Have a bountiful treedom!

~your Leader, Hunnytree

I'm not following these rules. I'm a loose cannon. No one can stop me. Except Elder Oak. I would follow him off the edge of a cliff.

I cannot find how to use my moderator powers, so I am having trouble, well, moderating. ESPECIALLY for SOME trees, like the burning kind that is not lava.

How about this; I make you admin, and trust you not to mess around with the site. So, as you are doubtless much more active on the forums, at least semi-responsible, and much more assertive than me, I'll trust you to be a rule-enforcer.

Sound nice?
